Middle school thru high school students are invited to write, record, and submit their very own short films (3-5 minutes) for Southeast Colorado’s second annual film festival.
Our mission is to give the people, specifically the youth, of our community the chance to express their ideas, talents, and interests through the media of film.
The goal of the Film Festival is to unite youth to their community through the expression of themselves through film, as well as promoting the arts, and artmakers with an annual, competitive event.
Before filming, please read through our submission criteria carefully. In order for your film to qualify and to compete for awards, these rules govern all film submissions to the Arkansas Valley Film Festival.
Do you have questions and don’t know where to begin? You don’t need to be a film student. All you need is a consuming passion for film. To help your passion flourish, we have put together a list of resources to help you get started on your short film project.
Are you interested in helping the Arkansas Valley Film Festival grow through financial or in-kind support? From direct financial support to providing goods and services, there are many ways to help.
